We offer various programs at different parts of Ghana. You can participate on your own, with friends, family or colleagues. You will live with a Ghanaian family, work side by side with the local people to improve the rural community and experience the Ghanaian hospitality.
Our volunteer abroad and internship programs are well designed and suitable for seniors, retirees, volunteers, solo travelers, gap years, career breakers, families, couples, groups, students etc. from around the world and anyone who is looking to do volunteer work in Ghana. Volunteer programs are available throughout the year with flexible start dates. Volunteers may choose to participate on projects such as teaching, childcare, football coaching, healthcare/public health, street children & youth empowerment, farming/organic farm work, construction & renovation, etc.
We have welcomed several volunteers from all over the world who have participated and contributed wonderfully to the developments of many community development projects, empowering communities and improving lives of the disadvantaged children and families in need.
Our organization has enormous experience and tremendous increase in the number of volunteer participants on several volunteer abroad and internship programs. The programs provide the opportunity for international volunteers to work with locals to both learn and share valuable skills. It is full of excitement for our volunteers who participated on our volunteer abroad and internship program especially with the engagement with the local community.
Requirement for volunteers:
Volunteers must be 18 years and above. For volunteers between 15 – 17 years, we will need to receive consent and approval from parents before we can finally offer them placement of their choice.
Caring spirit, a big heart, open-minded and able to understand the children.
Must speak good English or intermediate
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
Should be able to work independently as well as in teams when there is the need
Ability to respect and abide by rules of the placement activity.
Volunteers applying as medics must have relevant medical training and certification during your application process.

Airport Pickup
After you have booked and confirmed you’re your placement, please book your flights to arrive at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. A member of staff from our organization in Ghana will meet you on arrival at the Airport and take you to the volunteer house or host family which will be your base for volunteering. Volunteers can arrive anytime of the day and within the week or month.
Orientation
Orientation and Placement will be done the next day. Generally, your volunteer orientation is an overview of the projects mission, expectations and introduction to the local community and project site. Following your arrival in Ghana, you will be given a presentation by the local staff to prepare you for the work you will be doing.
Volunteer accomodation
Volunteers are provided accommodation in a volunteer house or in a homestay accommodation managed by the local staff or host family. Volunteers are provided three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) throughout the week. The accommodations are neat and clean with utilities included. Accommodation is shared amongst volunteers on the “with the same gender”. Washrooms are usually shared. There is a lounge area for relaxing, reading or watching movies.
Age requirement
Our volunteer abroad program is for anyone 16 years and above who is looking to volunteer in rural Ghana and contribute to empowering communities and individuals. We accept volunteers from all over the world with ages starting from 16 years and above. Volunteers who are 16 years old are only considered when accompanied by a parent/guardian. There is not a maximum age limit, though a reasonable fitness level is necessary.
Visas
Visitors entering Ghana must obtain a visa from one of the Ghanaian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the countries or territories that are either visa exempt or whose citizens may obtain a visa on arrival. If special requirements are satisfied, the citizens of countries without diplomatic or consular mission of Ghana travelling on short notice may obtain a visa upon arrival. Visa is granted on arrival for holders of a copy of a pre-arranged approval from immigration.
Weekend & Free time
Over the weekends or evenings, participants are free to eat out and explore the different delights that Ghana has to offer. We arrange city tours and long weekend safaris. Weekend tours include the Cape Coast such as the visit to the Elmina Castle, Cape Coast Castle, Kakum Canopy Walkway, Bee Center, Bird Watching etc. Accra tours such as a visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum, Art Centre, Black Star Square, Makola Market, Independence Square, Christianborg Castle, James Town Ussher Fort etc. No matter what your interests, there is always something for you to enjoy.
